Wow, it is almost rollout time.

 

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the many people that have helped us Beta testing this website.

 

We have corrected many issues from this testing and we are very pleased these issues will not be part of the website after rollout.

 

A special thank you goes out to Mike for all his hard work and dedication in helping us do a very thorough application evaluation and deep testing of each and every feature.

 

Here is a sample of some comments we got from our beta testers.

1. "WOW, this kicks ass" 

2. "Nothing can hold a candle to this website"

3. "This navigation and new mailbox is awesome it makes using a website like this a real pleasure. You have out done yourself again Paul!"

 

Most of these comments have come from people that do not even know me. They asked to be a part of the Beta testing. All I did was let them have a look around. In other words, I did not tell them anything about the website prior to sending them the link to get in.

 

Most of the time beta testers only take the time to tell you what is missing or features that do not work right etc. This time people have gone out of their way to tell me how much they like it. I know from past experience that you can never please everyone, but this time around I think most people will be pleasantly surprised just how good this new website will be.

 

Here is a partial feature list of what will be available on the day of rollout.

 

Who's On,  Who's New,  New Pictures, People in your Area, Chat, Instant Messenger, Blogs, Message Boards, Photo Galleries, Search, Quick Search, Spell checking, Groups, Contact Manager, My Galleries, Picture Upload, Skins, Portal Page, Mail Folders, Custom gallery folders, Profile ratings, Validation, Profile Blogs, Group Polls, Custom Group Message Boards, Group Galleries, Group Blogs, Custom Email Notification, Saved Responses, Notes, Address Book, Directions, Recently Viewed Profiles, Website Stats, Your Stats, Outlook Style Mail, Mail attachments, Blog Comments, Blog Ratings, and much much more. 

 

There are several other features that will be available in the near future as soon as there is a large enough user base to support them. It does not make sense to roll with some of these items like parties, because there are not enough users to get a party going yet.  However, these features are ready to go as soon as they are needed.

 

To answer a question that I get a lot. Will we have video cam? We have been researching this but have yet to come up with a viable solution that can be added to the website. All those that I have tested to date have failed miserably. If anyone knows of one that can be added to an ASP.NET website, please let me know and I will check it out.

 

I know what some people are thinking right now. Great, you got some cool features but it means nothing without a ton of users. Well, my answer to that is you have to start somewhere. Most large websites did not get that way overnight. It is a process. It will take some time. In the end ,it is really up to you. If you like the website and you want to see it grow, then tell people about it. Word of mouth is everything. When you are at a party take a minute and tell someone about this new website.

 

Most swinger websites today are old a tired at this point. This new website will be fresh and be constantly improved because I am here to support it in every way I can. I can and will go out of my way to make this the best swinger website on the net. 

 

Signup an account and hang out for awhile and watch us grow. You can tell people later on you were here when we started. I will probably even add a special symbol to founding members profiles so everyone can tell you were one of the original members of this website.

 

I have offered every single current member of the Swapper Network a free lifetime membership here when we rollout. I will also extend that same offer to everyone else during our rollout period. Take the time to get yours now. When I started the Swapper Network website, I did something similar and very few people took advantage of it. Later on they where kicking themselves for not getting in when it was free. I will say it again.

 

On 8/15/2008 the day of rollout and continuing until an undisclosed time you can get a free lifetime membership and no, we will never pull something like the Swapper Network website did and attempt to charge you for any future features.

Oh, and if there is something about our website that you are having a problem with then tell us about it. Too many people wait for someone else to find to problem and inform us. By then people begin to get irate that something is not working right and we may be unaware there is even a problem. Need a feature? Request it. If we like it we will add it. If we do not add it, we will tell you why we will not add it.
